This comprehensive five day course is designed to provide delegates with up-to-date information about all aspects of industrial drying, from fundamental principles and technical details of the equipment to problem solving and improving operations. The course will focus on batch and continuous drying of particulate materials from foods to inorganic chemicals. It will cover both direct dryers (conveyor, flash, fluid bed, rotary, spray) and indirect dryers (disc, rotary, screw flight).The participants will gain a working knowledge of the fundamentals of drying, process design of dryers, how to improve dryer efficiency and how to reduce operating and energy costs.
